Choosing the right technician is much like searching for the right doctor or dentist. A consultation should be your first step in the process. Most consultations are either complimentary or carry a small fee for the technicians time.
Ask yourself these questions:
• When you first enter the office or studio, does it appear clutter free, bright and sanitary?

• Does the technician strictly adhere to all CDC (Center for Disease Control) rules and regulations?
• Is she inspected by her local/county Board of Health Department?
• Does she employ one-time use needles?

Next comes the technichian's ability. Does she herself wear permanent cosmetics, and do you like the effect? How long has she been practicing? Is she, and I believe this to be the most important factor, artistic in her abilities? Anyone can pencil on a line for an eyebrow. Do all her clients in her portfolio appear to have the same “stenciled looking” brow on their faces? Does she know what shape and color would best suit you? Do the brows she applies look natural and lifelike? Does she tend to stick to traditional classic make-up or more trendy looks? Is she someone you can work with? This is very much a team effort and your opinion matters!
Is she affiliated with any organizations, or clubs? Does she continue her education? Can she offer references when asked? Is she associated with any physicians whom will vouch for her work?
Remember, you are permanently altering your appearance so this is not the time to let price be the determining factor. Highly skilled technicians may charge a slightly higher price because they know the quality of their work is unquestionably worth the difference.
