Some personal thoughts about cosmetic enhancements
Today's permanent cosmetic
enhancements, once
thought of as a procedure used solely for facial makeup,
have begun to encompass a wider range of applications. A
skilled cosmetic technician can change the lives of men and
women by making them feel better about their appearance
whether enhancing features or restoring confidence in those
suffering from the poor self esteem caused by lack of
pigment, or scarring.
Although so many men and women can
benefit from permanent cosmetics there is one group in
particular that has special meaning for me; women who have
felt the effects of breast cancer and its treatment. Woman
who have undergone breast reconstruction may find comfort
in cosmetic enhancement. After surgery the picture
isn’t complete until the color is renewed. We are the
“icing on the plastic surgeon’s cake”.
The finishing touch.
Helping to regain a woman’s self esteem and
confidence after such a difficult time is a necessary and
worthwhile endeavor. The hugs I receive from women telling
me that I have changed their lives and that this was the
best thing they’ve done for themselves is my
motivation to keep learning and to be the best at what I
do.
It is for this reason that a portion of the proceeds from
any breast enhancement do to illness or surgery will be
donated to the Susan G Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
